I have been there. Many, many times. There are still days where I have to keep the faith, where I have to remind myself why I started, and trust that the right women will find their way here.
But if you are here, you already have what it takes.
You have the most brilliant ideas and future in front of you.
I spent most of my life in hiding.
Keeping the peace. Keeping my feelings to myself. Keeping my dreams small.
I was a legal secretary for years, working in the largest legal firms in Australia and eventually the world, always typing other people’s words, living behind other people’s ideas.
I would write in private. Dream of the creative space. But I stayed hidden.
Then my mother passed away, and everything changed.
I went into my first business —> a motel —> in 2013.
I lost my family home financing it. I lost my inheritance. I came out five years later having to pick myself up from the hardest season of my life, and learn how to run a business at the same time. Alone. With no map. And no safety net.
Most people never saw any of that.
